Delhi Government Launches Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program 2025: Monthly ₹20,000 Stipend [Apply by July 10]
Government of Delhi has launched the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Programme 2025. It is a youth-focused initiative for Delhi University students to work with the government policy-making and governance system.
Delhi’s Chief Minister, Smt. Rekha Gupta announced the launch of this 89-day internship program, which gives students a golden opportunity to work closely with government departments across the capital city of India.

What is the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program?
Viksit Delhi CM Internship Programme 2025 is a government-backed internship program for DU students in important government departments of the Delhi government. The internship duration is 89 days. The internship program is aimed to involve the young generation in public service, policy-making, and administrative processes, transforming Delhi into a smart, clean, caring, and prosperous metropolis.

Selection Process
Candidates need to register on the portal for the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program 2025. Then they will appear for an online exam. 300 candidates shall be selected through prelim/online screening test. These 300 candidates shall be allowed to attend boot camp, wherein 150 candidates shall be shortlisted based on performance in essay writing during boot camp.
A total of 150 students will be selected as interns in important govt departments, Health, Education, Environment, Social Welfare, Transport, and Administrative Reforms. Then, applicants will go through a document verification process.
- Interns will be eligible for 5 days leaves during entire duration of internship.
- Each interns shall be paid an amount of Rs. 20,000 per month i.e. Rs. 60,000/- for a complete term subject to attendance.
- At the end of internship, interns will submit their report to the HODs of the concerned department.
- Interns who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate signed by the concerned Head of the Department/ Authorized signatory.
Interns will receive a stipend of ₹20,000 per month for the full duration of the program. Also, participants will be awarded with an official experience certificate from the CMO Office, Government of Delhi, upon successful completion.
Bootcamp details for Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program:
- Boot camp shall be held on 23rd July 2025. The venue and timing of boot camp will be announced shortly on portal.
- Candidates screened through online exam mode will be given a topic for essay writing.
- 150 interns shall be finalized on the basis of performance in essay writing.
- Candidates are required to bring their original documents for verification..

Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before they apply for the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program 2025.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates who are pursuing graduation/post-graduation.
- Residential Proof: Candidate must be enrolled in the electoral roll of Delhi or any residential proof of Delhi.
- 12th Results: Candidates must have scored 70% and above marks in Class 12th Examination.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be in the age between 18 and 30 years as on the date of application.
- Documents: A copy of student ID card, residence proof, 12th marks certificate and 10th certificate for verification of age is to be uploaded during registration.

- Registration will start on 30.06.2025 and end on 10.07.2025 at 11:59 P.M. sharp.
- Declaration of prelim/screening results on 21.07.2025.
- Boot Camp will be held on 23.07.2025 wherein candidates will be asked to write an essay on a topic.
- Final result will be declared on 28.07.2025.
- Joining of interns will start on 01.08.2025. Interns will be given 3 days time frame to join the office.
