Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is inviting applications for the FSSAI 2025 Internship Program. This internship program is for all undergraduate and postgraduate students recognized by any university or college in India. This is a government internship program for students that provides hands-on experience in food regulation across diverse domains, including science, technology, management, and law.

Selected interns will work at FSSAI’s headquarters, regional offices, or national laboratories for 2-6 months with a stipend of ₹10,000 per month.

About FSSAI

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is a statutory body under the administration of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It regulates the manufacture, storage, distribution, sale, and import of food articles, while also establishing standards to ensure food safety.

The FSSAI has its headquarters in New Delhi. FSSAI regional offices are located in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.

Eligibility Criteria

Here are the Eligibility Criteria for the FSSAI Internship 2025:

Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.

Education: Students pursuing full-time UG/PG degrees from recognized institutes within India or abroad in the following fields:

• Food Technology / Food Science
• Microbiology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences
• Chemistry / Biochemistry
• Agriculture / Horticulture / Environmental Science
• Nutrition / Public Health
• Veterinary Science
• Business Administration / Management
• Law
• Mass Communication / Journalism / Public Relations
• Information Technology / Computer Science

Academic Criteria:

• UG students must be in the 3rd or final year
• PG students can apply anytime during their course
• Students must have secured at least 60% marks in the last completed exam

Availability: Must be available for a minimum of 2 months during the internship period.
