Job Summary

Cognizant is looking for a News Analyst to support its social media monitoring and algorithm training initiatives. The role involves tracking breaking news, validating datasets, conducting QA on algorithmic streams, and applying business rules to improve content quality.

Candidates with a background in journalism, communications, or social sciences who are passionate about news and digital media will thrive in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, validate, and analyze real-time data streams
• Apply business rules to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Conduct QA of algorithmic datasets to improve quality outputs
• Participate in UX research for internal QA tools
• Stay updated with changing policies, workflows, and industry news trends
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Political/Social Sciences, or related field
• 0–6 years of experience (reporting, digital media, or similar roles)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking ability
• Goal-driven, adaptable, and detail-oriented
• Proficiency in a foreign language (a plus)
