About the Role

Amazon’s Content Operations and Strategy (COS) team is looking for a Technical Writer to create clear and concise content that helps Amazon sellers succeed.

This role requires working with writers, program managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality documentation.

You will contribute to content strategy, management, and process development while working on multiple projects independently.

Job Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and manage technical content following Amazon style guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including program managers, UI designers, and engineers.
• Support content management, localization, and governance processes.
• Handle multiple projects with attention to deadlines and accuracy.
• Use CMS tools, DITA, HTML/XML for structured documentation.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Linguistics, or related field.
• 4+ years’ experience in technical writing or editing (software/workflow applications preferred).
• 2+ years’ experience with Content Management Systems.
• Strong written communication in US English.
• Knowledge of HTML/XML; experience with DITA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing UI content and working in Agile teams.
• Knowledge of SEO and localization best practices.
• Editorial review experience.
• Familiarity with global teams and multi-language support.
