Role Overview

The selected candidate will join Perplexity’s Discover content operations team, focusing on curating, editing, and managing Indian news content for personalized feeds.

The role requires strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced digital news environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage Discover India’s content pipeline to ensure freshness and relevance
• Ensure all published content is accurate, verified, and valuable to readers
• Handle fact-checking, editorial review, headline and image generation, and quality checks
• Use AI tools to scale and streamline editorial workflows
• Identify content gaps and create timely coverage of emerging or underrepresented topics
• Coordinate with Discover leadership to improve and expand content pipelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in content editing, news editing, or digital journalism
• Strong understanding of the Indian news landscape, including national and niche publications
• Excellent editorial judgment and ability to differentiate breaking, trending, and general news
• Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and syntax
• Experience working with content management systems (CMS)
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a distributed global team
