Intel Corporation is inviting applications for the role of Senior Technical Writer to join its Platform Engineering Group (PEG) in Bengaluru.

This is a full-time, experienced hire opportunity for candidates skilled in technical writing, documentation strategy, and content management for engineering and semiconductor products.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality product documentation such as user guides, technical reference manuals, platform design guides, external design specifications, and more
• Create content from scratch, review existing content, and improve usability and clarity
• Convert documentation from different formats for dynamic user experience
• Work closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and cross-functional teams
• Attend planning meetings and define documentation requirements for customer enablement
• Use standard authoring tools such as SDL DITA, Adobe FrameMaker, Snagit, Word, and CMS platforms
• Collaborate with global teams across different time zones
• Ensure content follows Intel’s writing standards, legal requirements, and best practices

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of technical writing experience, including 1+ year in hardware or semiconductor documentation
• 4+ years of experience on Windows and at least one Linux/Unix OS
• Strong skills in authoring tools and content management systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of DITA authoring and structured writing
• Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and teamwork
• Experience with tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat, and similar platforms
• Knowledge of minimalism practices and structured authoring
• Experience with FPGA technology will be an added advantage
